LOGIC™ TITANIUM Expandable Interbody

The transforaminal approach with an 8mm insertion height effectively supports lumbar fusion by restoring disc height and lordosis, achieving a range of 10-14mm in height and 5-15 degrees in angle. This technique features a large, stable footprint on the apophyseal ring measuring 18 x 26 mm. Additionally, it allows for a maximum bone graft volume with a 10mm x 26mm graft window, while the expansion packs contribute to the stability of the contralateral bone graft. Backed by nine years of clinical experience, this innovation in spine surgery is manufactured using OsteoSync™ Ti porous titanium for optimal performance.

How the Spine Innovation Interbody System works

The LOGIC™ Titanium Expandable Interbody is inserted on its side to minimize the risk of neural injury during spine surgery and is easily rotated 90 degrees in its closed configuration to restore disc height up to 14 mm and lordosis up to 15 degrees. This innovative device, designed for lumbar fusion, is then expanded 10 mm laterally to create an implant width of 18 mm, featuring a large 10x26 mm graft area that is directly accessible by the surgeon for the placement of bone graft in the device. Additional bone graft placed contralaterally before implantation is further compacted by the implant's expansion, enabling a total of 15-20 mL of bone graft placement per fusion level.

This spine innovation increases the implant profile in height, lordotic angle, and footprint in situ. The bone graft window and filling aperture are among the largest of all expandable TLIF devices available today. Additionally, implant stability and resistance to subsidence and expulsion are maximized by the lateral expansion of the device.

Coronado, CA, January 26, 2026 - Spine Innovation, LLC, a pioneering medical device startup focused on advancing spine surgery, announced today that it has received FDA 510(k) clearance to market the LOGIC™ Titanium Implant System for lumbar fusion procedures.

The LOGIC™ Implant System represents the next generation of lumbar fusion technology, incorporating OsteoSync™ Ti – a patented, commercially pure titanium lattice material from Sites Medical. This innovative implant has already been successfully implanted in over 250,000 patients since 2014.

Designed with a reduced profile for easy implantation, the patented LOGIC™ implant expands more than doubling in size to ensure maximum stability and optimal bone graft volume. With a successful track record in the U.S. for 10 years, this implant, previously made from polyether ether ketone (PEEK), now leverages the benefits of OsteoSync™ Ti. It effectively restores disc height and sagittal balance while preventing subsidence and expulsion, thanks to an 18 mm x 26 mm expanded footprint that spans the vertebral body.
